In all my other vehicles, power to 12V outlets was cut when ignition was turned off. I read through the manual and there is a warning that says battery will be drained if something is plugged into the 12V outlet while vehicle is not running. It's a bit of a pain to plug and unplug my V1 every time I get in/out of the Q7.

Any suggestions, comments? Can behaviour of 12V outlets be changed? Anyone hardwire their V1 yet? How and where?

located it to the left and above of the rear view mirror. I ran the cable along the windsheild inside the headliner and then down the a-pillar to the drivers side fuse box. I can take a photo for you when I get back from Puerto Rico if you want...
