Hi folks,
I'm almost ready to kick my wintertyres of my car.
Have to decide on new summertyres. The old ones (Bridgestone dueller) were gone after somewhat 29.000 km.
My tyre-centre offers me
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 : 350 Euro / tyre
Bridgestone Dueller : 250 Euro / tyre
Continental Cross Contact UHP : 200 Euro / tyre
Anybody have experience with the cheapest one ?
Thanks,
Moulari

to sport pilots and got 28k miles off of them. I thought the sport pilots were much better in terms of handling than the contis. I now have the sport pilot A/S - they are not as good on the street as the regular pilots but they perform well in the snow and rain. I got tired of switching from snows to summer so I compromised and got the A/S. I am very happy so far.

There is a big price difference but I really disliked the Continentals. I replaced them with the Michelin PS2s (on BMW e46 M3) and I am very happy. There is a big difference. The PS2s are very sticky, hold the road very well. The Continentals did not grip nearly as well. Hope this helps, I don't like to spend the extra money, but it is well worth the money.

Great tire - both in wet and dry conditions. They've worn well and are pretty quiet.

...they're not too bad below 40mph and above 60mph, but in between (most suburban driving that I do) they howl quite a bit. Pressures are fine and I had them "rotated" at 5,000 miles (true rotation is not possible since they're directional tyres). They were almost silent when new. Wouldn't reccommend them for the Q7 as it detracts from the luxury feel.

my all seasons wore down since I am so happy with them on my A4. I wonder what the difference is?

Only driven them for about 50 miles so far. A big improvement over the bald Conti Contact 4x4, but that's not saying much.
