Hi folks,

Excited here in southern MA to have picked up our Q7 4.2 Premium - Lava Gray w/Espresso interior, Tow hitch, 20 inch wheels w/all season tires.

The vehicle is classy looking and Audi seems to have thought of every detail. The ride is amazingly smooth even though we ended up not getting air suspension and the engine/exhaust sound on acceleration is just perfect!

We're already 100 miles in on day one but, feel free to ask for other thoughts if you have something in particular you have been wanting to ask.

I wonder if the air suspension is the cause for the longer delivery time. The air suspension was a "must" for us for driving in deep sand on a beach and in deep snow when skiing.

I'm aiming for Thanksgiving just to be realistic.

Not a fair comparison, but out of curiosity, how would you compare the two vehicles?

Very nice! Just found out my Q7's "next" ETA is 9/7. Dealer can't explain delays except I finally have a VIN.

Silver Stealth,

I wish it was the 300C but, alas it is a company car and is a V6 Chrysler 300. The 300 is very comfortable on long drives (then again, I had a Ford Escape prior to my company switching from Ford to Chrysler for lease vehicles). The V6 is quite powerful and I say that having also driven in the 300C which is certainly more powerful.

We are very happy with our Q7 and am amazed how thorough Audi was with everything offered on the vehicle.

Day two highlights:

- Navigation system seems to be well thought out also and is an improvement over Chrysler's and Honda's.

- Night visibility is very good

- Corner handling without air suspension is very good

- We like the keyless entry and engine start/stop and the fact that it remembers so many variables in the vehicle based on the key fob.

- Have not seen another Q7 in our area on the road just yet. Wife commented that two people have already asked her about the vehicle.

- 20 inch wheels fill the wheel wells nicely and was a nice imrpovement over the 19 or 19 inch wheels

- Acceleration is excellent from a stand still. Have not had an opportunity to test increased acceleration from 50 mph or more.

Just read in the book last night that I can adjust the max opening height for the rear tailgate which is something I will need to adjust as the rear tailgate almost whacked the garage door last night!

More comments/reactions later.

great pictures! Are you planning on any video entertainment for the rear passengers?
