What do you tow, how far, and over what kind of terrain?

My tows include a 5900# boat, a 5000# car hauler, and a 2700# boat. Trips are generally under 300 miles though with mountains (I-90 east of Seattle). Most extreme (infrequent) trips would be 1000-1500 mile and include real mountains (I-5 from Washington to California).

Any BTDT with a Q7?

and was very impressed with his Q7. "Towed like a champ". His other rig is a V10 Excursion.

He did say that something was making a horrible- loud noise that scared the crap out of him. Something at the hitch area making that noise, not sure what that was yet.

I believe he was towing a ~5500lb boat/trailer.

So far I have towed my twenty foot boat approx 2500 lbs with absolutely no problems highway speeds 70-80mph over two mountain passes here in Alaska. About 16 mpg with trailer. I haven't towed my larger boat yet becuase I haven't taken the time to wire the electric brake controller. I am hoping the connection is the same as the Cayenne I traded for the q7. I think it will tow the rated capacity very nicely.
