It was much better looing in person. It had a Euro-style trailer hitch so I assume it was some it was some kind of test vehicle. There was a fire extinguiser on the back of the passenger seat headrest...It was a 3.6, does that sound right? I will really have to check out the Q7 when it is released.

Aren't the 3.0 and the 4.2 going to be the only ones available. Where'd the 3.6 come from?

The 3.0 has been replaced by a 3.2 FSI with 255hp.
The Q7 will have a 3.6 FSI with 280hp.
No word yet on this being offered in the A4 and A6.
The 4.2 is also different than the one on the A6 and A8 at this time.
The one in the Q7 is FSI with 350hp Vs 335 for the A6/ A8.
The A8 for 2007 will have that engine.
No word yet for the A6.

it gets VW's 280HP 3.6L engine that the 2006.6/2007 V6 Touareg gets.

it would make sense given that the porsche and t-rex both have VR6 engines.

and a 3.6 VR6 does already exist and the VR6 works with the gearbox found in the T-rex & the Cayenne, both of which are using the 3.2 VR6.

which is a pretty clear indication that this is a VR6 at 10 or so degrees not 90. Its the passat'v VR6 engine, not an audi V6.
