I've been hoping this would increase capacity for hauling. I have two kids, a wife, and guests and had to go buy a Pacifica to replace my Allroad (talk about downgrade, bah) in order to get a third row of seating that didn't make you think you'd kill the third row passengers in an accident.

Anyone know if they'll have a third row of seats forward facing option?

Hope they do a DVD system for the passengers too, or I'm hosed and have to buy something else when my lease is up on the pacfica.

I asked about that when I saw the car earlier this year and seem to remember them saying yes.

We just found out that the 4.2L V8 will come out first with standard 3 row seating. The 3.2 V6 will come out shortly after with optional 3rd row seating.

yesterday and I was told that Q7 will have the option of either 5 or 7 passenger version.

and yes, it is forward facing!

iirc, rear facing 3rd row seats are no longer legal in teh states...don't know of anyone making 3rd row seating like that now
