View Full Version : B7 2.0 FSI VAG Forge Blow off valve quattroRhat 06-23-2008, 03:37 PM I am new with audi's, recently brought a new b7 and saw that Forge have a new diverter valve for it, vag approved, i was wondering if anyone has one already installed and how loud is the sound. vtracer20 06-23-2008, 11:06 PM with stock airbox i didn't hear a differance...install was pretty straight foward, i ended up breaking a nipple on a seneloid (oops) so the install took two days cause i had to wait for my dealer to get a replacement seneloid. But intall is very straight foward. quattroRhat 06-24-2008, 09:13 PM I just installed mine today, kinda hard with not enough hand space there, but, i'm not sure if it blowing rite, it seem to phssssssssssssp when i shift, but it makes phssssp, phssssp, sometime after i shift and speed up,it's like a vibration of sounds, is that normal? Thanks for the feed back. vtracer20 06-28-2008, 04:15 AM i think i know what you mean...it's like as if the sound comes and goes but at a fast past right? if so that's normal yeah i agree with space....it's deff not a easy spot for large hands co_pa 07-17-2008, 05:12 AM got mine installed this week (you guys are more patient than i). similar sounds coming from my stock airbox. migo1980 10-22-2008, 11:31 AM Let me know. Migo deutschland06a4 04-02-2009, 03:00 PM i just installed mine not impressed at the sound. you cant hear it in the car at all with the radio on low( has to be off) i work for audi so when i was at work i tapped the holes so i could put screws in it and i tried the sound with one hole open ( sounded liek a sneeze) then i tried with 3 holes open ( was louder ) then i went and took all them out and it was loud when i was at a standstill buton the run it wasnt loud at all so tomorrow at work im going to put back in the 3 screws and try it out!! hopefully it will be better if not im going to make a bigger hole and put a horn on it like a regular BOV and ill report back to you guys ( i also weld so i can weld the horn on) then ill put a duck caller to it so when i shift it goes QUACK! deutschland06a4 04-02-2009, 03:02 PM of coarse this is on a stock car with the APR 93 oct flash no air box or exhaust yet! freude09 06-15-2009, 05:52 PM I just installed mine a few days back and I was impressed by the the sound of it... but the space I could agree with it too... __________________ Love is like racing across the frozen tundra on a snowmobile which flips over, trapping you underneath. Does anyone have some instruction for the instllation of one? Spoolin_Geek 04-08-2010, 10:34 AM Just curious, why install a BOV on nearly stock setup. Unless your running an agressive setup (e.g., larger turbo, high boost) there's no need to upgrade. This holds true in the Subaru world as well; I have a 06 STI making 376 whp @ 19.5 PSI (now a track car) I didn't upgrade the stock bypass valve until I went to a larger turbo. I assume that this would hold true for the Audi tuning world which, I am new too. In many instances after market BOVs release to much boost pressure on a stock or nearly stock setup and cause a loss in performance, possibly even causing stalling issues at idle or they may not open enough because, the springs are to stiff resulting in damaging compressor surge. Personally, I will upgrade BOV until I hit the stock one's limits. Crowz 08-29-2012, 09:54 PM i am new too, got the 2007 a4 2.0T convertible 5 days ago, does anyone have like a DIY pictures of how to do that ?? |
