that Castrol Edge is what they call Castrol Syntec in the U.K.

Some dealerships carry the same Castrol LongLife oil, which is basically the same product.

I'd use it rather than old 502 oil in 2.0T. It's much newer and better than the antiquated Syntec 5w-40 we get at Audi dealers in US. That stuff is bunk with an old magnesium-based aditive package. Not necessarily better than Syntec 0w-30 or Mobil 1 0w-40, but a good oem style oil, for extended drains.
