Well i would have Dyno'ed it but APR does not have KO4 software for my car so i am f'ed. I am fighting with them now to get something. They are telling me there is nothing they can do for me and i have to run in stock mode with the KO4. I am super pissed. I am waiting for the owner of APR to call me back. I will keep you posted on the outcome. I am very pissed off right now. I have a beast with no balls.

Its funny that APR is not responding to this. I asked them a question in a thread below about the K04 and no answer there either. You would think they would have told you there was no tuning for it before you paid. Now they seem to be AWOL.

I think we have worked something out. According to APR my ECU is so new (jun 07) that it is newer than the 07 from the beginning of the model year. Anyways, they have 91 program for the KO4 now but they need to make the 93. They are going to work it out on a local car they have and send the software, but to sweeten the deal they are giving me the fuel pump software and the fuel pump for cost (which is still crazy price but i am a sucker for more performance) so as of today i am happy and i think good things can now be said about APR! In any case the KO4 is sweet, even in stock. much more head pinning power! I hope with the fuel pump and program the car will be even better. Ill keep you posted.

So you could still tell a big difference just from the K04 without the new tune compared to the K03? Is your car chipped for the K03 right now?

Yes it is chipped for the 93 Apr KO3 program. When in chipped mode it is really fast when the turbo finally kicks in (lots of lag) but I am getting the programming from APR next week and I am also picking up the FSI APR fuel pump, it is suppose to add another 25 hp and 35 ft/lb so i am pretty pumped. I think it also helps i installed a greddy FMIC. The car will be running great soon.

Let us know how it does. Will it fix that lag problem? K04 shouldnt have but a little more lag than a K03.

the fuel pump with the ko4 should spool it so nice and keep your top end even nicer. i cant wait for my setup to come out. after all the kits ive seen the apr is the most complete one giving me 383whp. when i spoke with the rep he was telling me that it came with the fuel pump, injecters, bigger fmic, everything. then im adding meth to spice it up. so i should be at around 400whp. cant wait..keep me posted on those numbers..

What were they quoting for price for everything?

The only reason i had it installed was because they told me they had the software, they even made me get them the ECU number weeks before so that they can double check. They dropped the ball on this but they made nice by me. I finally today had everything complete including the fuel pump. Obviously i would not have done it had i know the software was not avail. I am not stupid, nor would i spend the money for something that would do me no good.

Pierre,
I got it completed today, no dyno yet. The guy did not have the time because he had someone else to do a fuel pump for. I will have to wait. I do recommend the fuel pump, because when you get the big turbo you will def. need it. I need it with the KO4, the power is so linear its amazing... i test drove it with my mechanic today and he took it from a dead standstill to 130 with not the slightest bit of hesitation. i was amazed. The only downside, as of course you would expect the gas milage is not the best when you open it up. i could almost see the gas gauge move when we would pedalling down at high revs, I could care less though. I just want the power, and now i got it.
