I need to know what software I should go with? APR seems to be good, but it can be flashed out by the dealer. MTM is reputable and it cannot be flashed out by the dealer. I called my dealer and they quoted me almost a grand said and done for the MTM!! What should I do?? Has anyone had any problems with any of them???

I have had three A4's in my time 2000, 2003, 2007 all have had APR. APR is the benchmark for tuning performance. If you call the the APR folks, they have a lockout program, so that it can't be flashed, you have to input a 4 digit code. You seem to be worried about money however. For me, the obvious choice has always been APR, never had any problems, and never been let down by its performance. It is a great product, and the people are really helpful, just my opinion

with Audi for race programs in the past. The car drives as normal with a smooth power band, and no fault code. I feel that they are second to no one. Not even in price. They can be a bit $$$$. With that said, I have never had a problem beating my friends '98 A4 1.8t Q 5 speed manual with his APR chip, versus my '00 A4 1.8t Q with tip trans. At the time we both just had chips. Since then I have added everything else and change the program to the k04 ECU. He won't even try anymore.
