I'm seeing the only not to have warranty voided is to have a spare stock ECU for visits to the dealer.
also do you have to clear DTC's once you swap ECU's

Dealer is not going waste time whether or not your car is chipped unless you show up with a blown turbo and the fact that you didn't tell them. Once that ecu is out to Audi and they checked it, pretty much you are busted.
