i would recommend a water/methanol kit. heard good things about it.it raises your octane in gas and also when it burns it emits a really cold air in which every knows thaat colder air is denser air which = more power...i ordered the kit, and am rather bored of the cars performance aswell even thought i take evos and cars around that area(which is like all there is around here). i am waiting for this paycheck to buy the fmic and with those two combined and an exhaust, there is some nice potential..i cant wait to get it done myself..im at 224whp right now, by the time my phase 1 is complete i should be at like 280-300whp on the stock turbo..

yea im in the 280/300 hp range, im waiting for the gt28RSR kit to come out so the only thing to do for my car is the nitrous spray kit or the water/methanol kit you were talking about..you said you ordered one? how can i get one? kinda interested now

thats some nice power..i hope thats whp..to be honest spraying the intercooler wont really make a difference if your on meth with a fmic..im not going to bother with it imo..but i bought my meth kit off ebay... the well known kit is "boost cooler". Snow performance deals with boost cooler. i would go with them..search for fastautosports on ebay as a user..they are official distributors..shipped and everything was like 417$$..in about a month or so i will be up there too..i will have all of the following
chip,cai,tb exhaust, pulley,boost controller, short shifter, flywheel, stage2 clutch,bov,wideband 02,meth kit...
tuned right and at around 23 pounds i should get around 300whp..what do you think?

The system does not work as you mentioned. The benefit of this system is that it cools the internal combustion so increased timing can be used without detination. This is one reason compression is increased in the FSI motors.
I had one on my 1.8t, (which I have been running GT28rs set up for awhile now). I took this system off as I was not happy with the results.
Also, your HP guessing is off. With the few mods your running with the 2.0 your phase one is no where close to the 280-300 whp your thinking.
There are tests of the 2.0 with the GT28rs set up running at 350hp at crank and this turbo dwarfs whats on the 1.8 and 2.0 now.
AWE has over 400 hp with the GT28-71, (450 with new internals). But boost comes on near 3700 rpm and it becomes more of a dyno queen then a track/street car. I think you'll see kits starting with the GT28-rs.

i wasnt expecting a crazy amount of hp from the meth kit but i am expecting like 20 hp from it. im making 224whp with 4 things(93 chip, carbonio, test pipe,pulley)...i still need to get the exhaust, fmic, meth kit, stage 2 clutch, lightweight flywheel, stage 2 chip(apr drops it in once you get an exhaust), 100 octane program, drop the suspension(little more torque), bov, wideband 02,turbo timer,shortshifter..thats my phase 1 thats im putting together..

It looks like a pretty good bang for the buck for dollors to hp.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3329227</a
