The car is a new '07 GTI-6spd. with less than 2,000 miles on it. When you start the car about 10% of the time the EPC code comes on and the engine acts as if it's being choked ie. limp mode, no power, will not rev, no turbo boost.. Turn off the engine and restart and everything is fine. As I write this the car is at the Dealer for the third time and I am going to have a meeting with VW rep soon. Has anyone else experienced this?

the only thing that can be related to that is either a bad ecu, or if you chipped the car, you didnt break the chip in for 3 days before fully using its potential..ive heard the problem happen on v dubs more than once..

I agree with your opinion, car is "Stock" ... no chip. After 5 days I just got it back from the Dealer. Said they started the car over 25 times and the problem only happened once so they have a computer 'picture' of what's going on. For the second time they replaced "a relay"... how that's going to help a bad ECU is beyond me but we'll see. Sounds like they're throwing s**t up against a wall hopeing that something will stick.

I have a 2000 Jetta GLX. The EPC light comes on when I start the car. And will ding about every 15 minutes as yu drive.
What is a EPC?
What will cause the light to come on.
