have injector seals/caps ready to install and might as well check if i need to replace a injector or 2.

then I think you are supposed to crank for a certain amount of time and then compair to what it supposed to be by measuring how much fuel is in the jar. I think this procedure is in the benlty.

Testing pressure by measuring flow has always seemed stone age. But I suppose that without a fuel rail, pressure in each line might vary acording to conditions in that line. In seems to me that my VW Bentley describes a VAG tool that can be somehow hooked to the fuel distributor to measure pressure.
