While i was home in NY and it was pretty cold out the car had a horrible surge a few seconds after letting off the gas. Found this really annoying and kinda scarey while driving on slippery snowy roads. The idle is also often high and wobbly. I have replaced the ISV, and cleaned it so i think it is the throttle Pot. Plus with a little research it seems to be the likely culprit.

Anyone have an extra throttle Pot. of a pre. march 1990 20V I5. Much appreciate anyone that also thinks this could be the problem or temporary fix or anything helpful.

But you'd have had to borrow it, as I've decided to keep that stuff for right now.

Wife has a crappy work schedule, half the days she works, I don't see here until midnight or 1am right now (she's a supervisor at Kohl's).

It is kinda in a bad place, sits right above the headers.

Well I cracked open the top of the throttle pot, and found that one of the plastic wall pieces that swipes the arm was broken. So a little epoxy and it works fine.

You can test the throttle pot with a multimeter.
