I there, I just purchase my first Audi, a 1989 90 non turbo. I'm pretty new with 5 cylinder, so what would you suggest to first???

Thats an option, but it really depends on your budget and what you want.
Do you want lots of power, just a bit, what?
You can add a cam to your 10v and an adjustable cam sprocket along with a K&N filter. A better exhaust will help out too.

I dont have the budget for a complete swap...
I already have a catback Brullen exhaust, wich cam, and sprocket would you suggest? And is there a chip taht could do a difference?

Keep in mind that it's my daily driver, all season, I'm in Quebec and we have some pretty rough winter over here!!! So it will be some mild mod...cam, sprocket, chip exhaust...should sound great, but wich one and where to by those over here?

Blau offers a 272 cam, heard mixed reviews. The best cam IMOP is the Total Audi Performance (TAPP) 272 cam. It's 400$ and idles like crap in the winter. You can get the Adj cam sprocket from Blau. the cam work be a nice match with your exhaust though. You can also do the swiss cheese mod to the airbox. AKA drill a bunch of holes in the bottom of it.

You should have the 2309cc "NG" 130hp. engine.
How many miles are on it?
A chip it will get you a more agressive ign. timing curve, this is the only way to "advance" the timing on this car.
With all then mods you're looking at about 145hp.....

...though i have no experience with a blau cam, i have heard bad things about them. I would also suggest the adjustable cam gear from techtonicstuning.com they have one for an 8v VW engine that fits the 10v 5cyl and its at a good price too. Currently I have the TAP cam (thanks to Sam from AudiTrippin), a TT adjustable cam gear, k&n air filter, and i have the cam advanced 2 degrees and i love the higher rpm power. Nowhere near a turbo's power but its alot better than stock. I have a vibrant "euro" style exhaust made specially for AWD vehicles which eliminates the S bend befor the muffler. Waiting to install in the spring along with new cat and resonator and manderel bends to help free up the exhaust hopeing to free up a little more power and increase mileage.

on a side note i have had no problems with my idle after the cam was installed. it idles right at 1000 rpm on a cold start and right at 800 rpm after its warmed up.

$400 for a cam. Would like to see the dyno results for installing it. I'd guess maybe 10hp maximum gain? $40/hp ratio, I guess that's not too horrible.

Look down the posts, there's a 10v cam thread.
