car wont start, thought i traced it back to the isv. today i went to go work on it, but before i did any work i turned the key and it started. then died. check fuel, checked spark, got an isv from a junkyard. any way to check the connections? ben thought it could be something to deal with the black box on the front of the CIS. any way to check that? if i put a multimeter up to the plugs, what kind of reading should i be getting?

Your getting some fuel from the cold start enrichement, but I'd look into the CIS system.

Have someone crank the car while you manually lift up a little on the airplate. That will simulate vacuum. You might want to test the injectors by using bottles and then have someone lift the plate so the fuel starts squirting.

You have spark since it fired. But Vacuum is required to work the airplate. So a vacuum leak kills the fuel.
