How about installing Volvo 2.3l T in a 100csq?
It's pretty much Audis' I5,just developed further w/Porsches help.
222hp & 222 lb.ft. All alloy.

Everyone here can answer better then I... But Id be willing to bet the answer you're gonna get is something along the lines of, "yes, anything is possible, no. there's no way in hell you'd actually do it, you "noob*$&#"
Mounts, transmission clearance, I couldnt even imagine the problems.
ha. No honestly... i'd be more economical to buy the volvo... or go the cheap route and buy a 5k and chip it.

Yes, a chipped 5ktq would be easier but why would I want that?
My '92 only has 111k,and is in good shape.
Eibachs,Bilstein Sports,S4 mounts,etc.
Ideally I'd like to do it with a '97 A6q.
Will see. Winter's coming.
If someone can drop a 350 sm. block into a 5000,this "should"be easier.
"Should" is key word.

I suppose theoretically you're probably right. I'd imagine at least fittament-wise, a Volvo 5 would be easier then a 350. However, I might be inclined to disagree due to the huge amount of Chevy resources out there. With so many Jags, Chevys, and everything else... soooo much more BTDT. At least my best guess.
But once again, you're actually willing to spend the money on a project like this? Why? Its not like that 220 horsepower's gonna be some screamer. I dont know. I'd never wanna put anyone's ideas down radical or not. I've had that done plenty myself... just seems strange.

Seriously, If the block bolts up and can work with the tranny and engine mount then a standalone ECU makes the project pretty simple.
Engine mounts can alway be fabbed. But if the tranny doesn't bolt up then its a Big pain in the arse.

I don't know where it comes from, but there is always someone who says "my buddy the mechanic says that the Volvo engine is really made by Audi, etc."
Anyone who has seen an Audi I5 taken apart can tell you that they nothing is the same. Look for yourself....

Volvo I5 engine rebuild.

With enough money and time, anything can be done. Is it worth it though?
Thanks, regarding the car.
The sig pic is the same car.
