I have an electric RC Copter called the DragonFlyer, its a piece of ****, but that's not the point.

The point is that the amount of air flow coming off those rotors is insane!!!! There's gotta be some application to spin an impeller and force feed air into the intake, via electricity.

I red up on Thomas Knight ESC's and it seems pretty feasible since they are doing this on other cars already.

A regular turbo or supercharger needs over 20 hp to produce its boost. In electric power that's 15kW, and that means over 1000 amps at 12 volts.

Besides special heavy-duty wiring, an electric supercharger needs several batteries. These batteries are quickly exhausted by the supercharger, then you have to go without boost until they are sufficiently recharged for another burst. Fitting a heavy-duty alternator helps -- but then your non-boosted performance suffers.

looks like a cool idea that deosn't really improve on the current methods due to having large drawbacks of its own.

thanks. So its not impossible, just not really efficient in terms of weight, utilization, cost, etc.
