For those who have experience, would you care to share the settings that you settled upon?

I think a lot of us have VAG-COM cables and the Lemmiwinks shareware but are hesitant to try changing settings arbitrarily.

If anyone has done this and is willing to share this knowledge, it would certainly help alleviate any reservations of where to start tweaking as we could begin from a known safe point.

I thought that was the point of group fourms? Anyone else feel the same way?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

I have not been able to use my USB cable to connect, and quite frankly was worried that I would cause damage to the ECU that might leave my car undrivable.

So without a spare ECU, I don't know if I want to do it.

The problem was with a TT that was reflashing the ECU and then the electric fan came on and caused a voltage drop large enough to terminate the flash (or something like that).

It had to be towed away and a new ECU was installed.

I'm going to try the following settings

+100 RPM on Ch1 Idle speed offset

103% on Ch2 Fuel Tweak (accel pump) increasing loads

100KMh on ch 7 Additive offset to speed limiter (this will be fun to test)

+1.5 Degrees on Ch9 (Ignition timing offset)

.195% on Ch 10 (Primary fuel tweak)

+5 on Ch 14 Idle Torque additive offset

These are pretty conservative, I think, but since they are across the RPM band, it should be a safer bet. I'll use VAG-COM to create some logs and check.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
