I realize it could be anything. But are there problems more 'common' than others?

thanks

Jose @ eurotech says about $2k for repair. FUDGE! I put in a request at AoA for recall/assistance/whatever. Any other (legal) options?

cdyer:

I have a 01 AR with 106K Tip, I got the same codes! I'm not sure exactly what the codes reads, but my mechanic told me it was for the O2 and TC. So I paid more attention to my tranny when I was driving and the car did have slow response when i stepped on the gas pedal. I also tested it (when at complete stop) by stepping on the gas pedal (all the way down) very fast and getting off it really fast...the car did not respond!

So I took it to a reputable tranny shop in NJ and had it checked out there, and once again the TC codes comes up and it reads "TC no power." I left the car there, they are dropping the tranny, opening up the TC and rebuilding it. Make it much stronger than a new OEM one. It will be strong enough to brake torque! They are charging me $1200. They gave me an option to rebuild the valve body as well. It give the car a more sportier feel, gears shift fast, but more $$$ of course.

I'm getting the AR back this weekend! Can't wait.
