The car is a 2001 A6 2.7t s4what? 09-26-2006, 07:37 PM exhaust manifolds (and turbos) have to come off 02a62.7t6spd_madman 10-20-2006, 11:01 AM tech was able to get the head off- basically remove front bumper remove timing belt, manifolds etc turbo stays on downpipe. N2A6S 11-27-2006, 05:57 PM I changed the coolant after-run pump. I guess when I bought the car, the dealership replaced the valve cover gaskets. Some idiot cut the tie staps off the injectors and and coil pack wires. When I removed the intake, guess what fell inside the intake valves. Thats right, the wire ties. The valves were not bent, just being held open slightly. After removing the engine and tranny. I took the heads off, had them cleaned and did a total valve job on the car. Just a word of caution for those attempting the coolant pump replacement. |
