Has anyone had a Blackstone analysis done along with the TBN? How many miles were on your oi? What is your criteria for an oil change. Did the TBN influence your future oil change criteria?
Thanx in advance.

I've posted my Blackstone results on the allroad forum. I'm running GC changing it every 10K. TBN has been around 2.2 so the oil still has life. You need to look solids, fuel contamination, sodium, wear metals, etc to determine change intervals.
BITOG is a great source and has lots of UOA's on the 2.7t..

GC = German Castrol, which is 0w-30 Castrol manufactured in Germany, found only at Autozone. This is a cult like oil, poke around BITOG lots written.

I did it back in 2004 on Mobil 1 0W-40. 9000 miles on the oil, the change oil light came on at 8200 miles, but I can't get an appointment early enough. The TBN was 2.8 after 9 months mixed driving in NJ. I change oil when ever the change oil light came on.
