Those on the S4 forum know I crashed my S4. :( The crash killed one of my ICs. The car is being rebuilt. It will be stronger, faster, etc, etc.

Rather than pop the $1,000 needed for RS4 ICs (between the ICs themselves, shrowds, hoses, etc) and $2,000 for the DUH FMIC, I figured I could a better job for a bit less.

e-bay has dozens of FMICs for ricers that are generic and universal and a number of sizes. I picked up two which are 30" by 3" by 5" and plan to run them side-by-side up front. The turbo from the left will feed one, pass air through it to the right, and the bi-pipe will take that air up to the TBB. The process reverses on the left. Total cost of these ICs with shipping was less than $450.

Some custom tubing will be needed, but that can be picked up from home depot, or nicer, generic mandrel bent pieces can be had from e-bay or custom shops. I have no clue how to mount the ICs, but I'm sure I can come up with something. Regular hose clamps and generic (or even the old stock) rubber pipe will take care of the rest it should work out OK.

I'll keep you guys posted with what I come up with and what I find out.

mount the ICs? What did you do for piping? Inquiring minds want to know!
