View Full Version : Diesel $5.09 in Stamford Rocky-in-Connecticut 05-23-2008, 01:03 PM S4V8RCR 05-23-2008, 02:00 PM to offset the mileage advantage. Also the demand for diesel will increase sending prices even higher. Time for some government intervention to fix this shortage/pricing problem. Rocky-in-Connecticut 05-26-2008, 03:24 PM refinery adjustments are already underway at refineries around the world to supply more heating oil/diesel at the expense of gasoline. There is a large refinery in Texas undergoing a large diesel reconfiguration right now. marmadogg 06-11-2008, 04:55 AM We are shipping Diesel to Europe as the USD is very weak and demand for Diesel in Europe is very high not to mention it fetches a much high price in Europe than the US. Diesel prices in CA are much closer to premium unleaded. Gas prices will eventually catch up to Diesel prices. Miles drive per dollar is the only valuable metric and Diesel power plants have gasoline beat on that front.
