Q7 TDI is scheduled to come out in the USA sometime during 2008, but what about other Audi Quattro models. Any news or rumor when other models will be available in USA with diesel? Any news about when VW 4Motion diesel will be available in the USA? I'm just waiting for diesel.

If it's true, I am buying one. As soon as Audi has TDI here, I am getting one. It's that simple!!

And prior to that, my favorite Audi salesman in Flemington NJ told me virtually the same thing, he just did not know the timing of when during the 2008 model year the Q7 TDI would make it to our shores. He drove one over in Germany, and said he preferred it to the two gas engines. And he was probably driving "only" the 3.0 TDI.

When the toureg was introduced with the V10, importation was cancelled for the 2005 model year, then allowed to proceed, then cancelled. EPA can't seem to make up their minds regarding diesel exhaust emissions. Same thing happened with Mercedes. It would be awesome to see TDI's in the US but I won't believe it till I see it.

Well, since low-sulfur diesel just went legal in the U.S....
