No major mods, just ecu chip and cai. i am so diappointed whats the point of owning a car if you can't push it. Did anyone experience a similar problem. The car is an 01 with 48k miles. No power braking or neutral shifting into D was made just redline acceleration

When shifting from P or R to D there is very hard shifting, it is not smooth and you can hear a clanking noise. Tranny got loose when travelled for 100m and heard a big "boom". Rpm's rev but speedometer doesn't move. Also, after shifting, tranny smells like it has been burnt.

German auto transmissions are not the strongest in the world(especially Audis). If your going to pound on them, then you need to service them frequently, especially if you live in a hot climate. Hopefully, you'll get a factory rebuilt unit. Sorry to hear.

a tip at 145K and i'm tip mode 90% of the time, but in auto mode, I get some clutch pack slippage nowadays.. I've heard of some lemon examples... but mine is driven like hell (grapevine-I5 at 80MPH) and 110 for 2 hrs at a time, heavy 3/4th gear usage. Push the tip mode and see if you get the same results as auto mode...
