2.8 30v needs some shocks bad..... 93.000 on the original sports suspension has taken a toll. I have known it for a while but now is the time for change. I should rebadge the car "Lincoln town car"
Driving : Daily driver highway tri-state area. Looking to firm up (at this point anything will firm up the ride..). They are close in price but I would like some feedback on some of you who have chosen either or. Keep in mind I am keeping the original sports springs.
What should I be looking for install wise $$$$

Install costs really vary. They vary so much, in fact, that I did the suspension install myself. It was the first time that I had done it and it took about a day's worth of time (I did have some problems during the install).
The best quote I found was "no more than $175", but that place was unable to call me back and schedule an appointment, even after three further inquiries.
The average quote was around $450-$550. For me, I thought this was too high a cost for a suspension install that I could do myself.
I also got quotes as high as $800, believe it or not.
So, the only real answer is: call around. Just because one place will give you a quote for $500 or so, doesn't mean you can't find another. Then there are naturally always arguments about the quality of the work done and all that...
It was frustrating to me. I thought the DIY was worth it.

If you want a ride comparable to the original feel of the stock sport suspension (firm ride but comfortable) then the Koni's are the way to go.
But if you want super firm then the Bilsteins are what you want. I have Bilstiens and I think they're a little too harsh for what I want (daily comuter). But the handling is great!
When I was doing my research for my suspension upgrade, that was the general consnensus as far as Bilstein vs. Koni. Personally, I wished I had got the Koni shocks.
It will cost you from $400 to $700 to get them installed but if your mechanical you can do it yourself. We'll help you with some pointers if your up for the challenge. Email me.
