A friend of mine was telling me that his mom just recently recieved a recall letter from AoA. She has a 1999.5 A6 2.8(AHA) tiptronic. Supposevly when its cold the throttle body may form ice inside prevent the throttle body from closing and creating unintended acceleartion.

I am ATQ so i'm not sure if i apply but i was just wondering if anyone could verify this.

What I would like is something like a control arm recall. I've read that, about a year ago or so, this recall was performed elsewhere in the world (specifically, I believe Canada and Europe were involved), and since my control arms are no longer the best (understandable, after so many miles), I wouldn't mind Audi fixing them for free. Wishful thinking? Absolutely.
