I just received another letter from an A4 2.8 user with some serious fitment issues using a Milltek cat back exhaust system. This problem appears to be known by more than a few, so in the interest of helping the next poor sap that gets suckered in by the claims, please post your experience with Milltek systems. Pictures are requested.

I had to take mine to a shop to have it cut and welded in 3 spots (1 pictured above) for proper routing through the available exhaust channels. At the same time I got rid of the slip joint and had it all welded together...which, according to my supplier Stratmosphere, voided my "lifetime" warrantee on the system. Proper installation took about 6 hours on the lift.

Now it sounds great, doesn't leak and isn't robbing me of torque...but it is NOT a bolt on product for the 99.5 A4 2.8. Phil Millington thinks the poor fit was emission related.

You can see a couple of pics in my picture poster that were taken after round 1 of trying to install this bad boy. After 3 tries attempting to install this with the supplied clamps, then with beefier clamps that I purchased (by Adam at Achtuning who is the man), we threw up our hands, and took the beast to a full-service exhaust shop and had them weld the sucker together ($100). Sorry that there are still people around finding this out the hard way, but I must say I love the sound of this exhaust - love it, love it, love it.

I am really intrested in purchasing a pes g2 supercharger, I read great reviews about it. In your personal experience do you feel a big difference in performance.

but when executed properly...the Milltek IS sweet...just expensive to get right in some cases.

Even though it does hang a little crooked (leaning down on the right) for some reason.

...but after I took it to Perri's German Auto in Mesa, AZ, he had it perfectly sealed the first time with the slipjoints and no welding.

Glad you got it worked out in the end, though, and are happy with the work. That is what is most important.
