trunk. I'm going to get it on a lift this Sat. but was wondering if anyone knows what it might be. Doesn't seem to be the shock as it rides good on smooth pavement, but when I hit a bump a clunk noise comes from back there like something's loose. I checked my trunk and nothing's there to make that noise so I don't know. I have Billstein/H&R sport setup on my 99.5 2.8 Quattro. Also have 19mm sway bar on soft.

they may have degraded from the salt last year. next guess is control arms.
