View Full Version : So what are 2.8 owners using for new plugs and wires? HEADACHEZ 10-27-2004, 09:41 AM 2.8whine 10-27-2004, 09:54 AM Bosch plat +4's work good for stock engines.. I have magnecore 8mm (blue) wires, havent had any problems. Turns out I was supposed to remove the intake plenum from the engine. Really great design. 2.8whine 10-27-2004, 10:48 AM It's super easy. So are the plugs, just have to unscrew the coolant res to get to the last one on the r side. BHase 10-27-2004, 11:06 AM kennyc 10-27-2004, 11:09 AM did not notice any increase in mileage, but I believe that's caused by heavier right foot. The drawback is they are WAY more expensive than +4's... so it's not for everyone. BHase 10-27-2004, 11:12 AM Next time I do it, I had considered getting the Denso plugs, if they actually seemed to be worth the money; it is often hard to tell. Ben akula-ssh 10-27-2004, 12:08 PM kennyc 10-27-2004, 12:56 PM I donno why but my +4's have rougher idle than oem and denso. I don't remember the throttle response nor the mileage though... I'm new at this plugs business, so am trying to learn... kennyc 10-28-2004, 10:16 AM I didn't bother take them out again, buy a set of oem's and reinstall. akula-ssh 10-28-2004, 08:08 PM kennyc 10-28-2004, 08:43 PM Boba Fett 10-31-2004, 01:13 AM akula-ssh 10-31-2004, 09:23 AM howdeeaudi98 11-01-2004, 03:33 PM Ditto on the Bosch wires.. My OEM's burned out and the Bosches haven't thrown codes or done anything wierd yet..(3K miles).. I'd do that. About 150-175 over the 325 for oem set... :) Jersey John 11-23-2004, 05:09 AM |
