View Full Version : Seems like my engine is loose sabih786 06-25-2007, 11:09 AM http://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1655534.phtml

http://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1655534.phtml

Audi_kraut 06-30-2007, 05:23 PM Note that all of this information is for an A4 with a 1.8T, not sure of the similarities... The engine and transmission are bolted together as you know. This assembly is held to the chassis by four points. two transmission mounts, and two engine mounts. If you look in the tech section there are write ups on how to replace all of these items. Take a look at your engine mounts (one on each side of the engine) if their leaking purple stuff then its time for new ones. And no, i don't know where to jack up your car, but if you RT*M I'm sure you can find that information too... Search much? Lastly, what makes you think the engine is "loose" is it rocking back and forth. When in gear and you let off the gas after being on the gas, can you feel it "jump" forward? Thanks and GL sabih786 06-30-2007, 10:08 PM which is why my engine felt like it was wobbling. the bolts were tightened, 4 more were ordered and im going in monday to have those fixed along with my alignment. as for the jack points, i rtfm, i was just curious about those rubber pads. thanks.
