is causing it. I have changed both 02s, from another code, and double checked all his hoses and changed the DV. What a **** location for that valve coming from a 2.7t! Any help would be top shelf. Thanks.

View Full Version : Friend's 1.8t keeps getting this p0441 code and I can't figure out what Gray Bush 05-24-2007, 02:30 PM is causing it. I have changed both 02s, from another code, and double checked all his hoses and changed the DV. What a **** location for that valve coming from a 2.7t! Any help would be top shelf. Thanks. JAFO 05-24-2007, 11:47 PM i'd check the lines in the engine compartment first for kinks but this may indicate a bad carbon canister. iirc it's in the center hump in the spare wheel well. you get to it from underneath 1heartaudiworld 05-25-2007, 08:06 AM it should click when the test runs.. but even if it clicks it may be clogged and stuck open or closed. take one side of the line off and when running the test blow into it.. When it clicks youshould be able to blow through.. when it clicks off it should close... If you can blow through freely all the time its bad.. if you can't blow through at all its bad. Before you replace it though tap both ends of the valve on a hard surface and see if you can free up the carbon that may be lodged in it.. sometimes you can get them working again. there is a TSB for the code but I think it was on the 2.8s not the 1.8ts I forget.. It reflashes the ECM so that it does not activate the valve at cold temps. Gray Bush 05-26-2007, 04:22 PM 1heartaudiworld 05-27-2007, 11:14 AM steve77 09-02-2007, 02:02 PM |
