I am having trouble removing the bottom bolt that holds the alternator in the car. I have removed the top bolt, and taken the serp belt off the alternator.

The problem is, that when I slide the bottom bolt out, it hits the fan clutch preventing me from sliding the bolt out enough to remove the alternator. Does anyone have anyone know how to get this out??? my engine is ATW. Here is a pic....

I used an 8mm allen wrench on the back of the fan bracket. While holding the above circled with needle nose vice grips, the fan came off, then the alternator.

at least I don't, but I do have an EFK!! Makes alternator work a breeze!

and cruise linkage. It took me around an hour and was relatively easy.
