I just got my EFK installed and now I noticed my oil temps are running higher than usual. Did some search and other people have had the same result with the higher temps. The water temp gauge is right where its supposed to be. Question is....Will installing that Neuspeed fan switch help lower my oil temp though? anybody have a link to it?

I wired in a separate circuit with a relay and thermostat. I have the fan set to kick on around 180 degrees. Oil temps run around 5-10 degrees lower than they did with the viscous fan.

yeah, my temps are higher than they normally were with the stock fan. I got the EVOMS EFK and it didn't have any separate thermo when I got it so I assume its wire to the aux fan then. I didn't do the install, I had my local tuner do it since I needed to do the TBB and everything...told them to put the EFK on while they were at it. I could find any info on how to wire up a separate thermo to it...any help would be much appreciated! Cuz this is definitely not were I want my oil temps at...its never been this high.

My personal preference was to have the adjustable thermostat so I 'dial in' the set point I wanted for the fan to come on but 180 on teh radiator ought to be ~ the right temp. Certainly better than the aux fan setting ...

For installing the thermostat

I bought a 180 degree thermostat for my EFK

I mounted the relay/thermostat to the plastic cover on the power steering resevoir. At first I ran a B+ line from the battery to the relay but the fan cycling on and off while the car cooled in the garage drove me nuts so I switched that to power from the 75x terminal under the driver's side knee bolster. At the same time I ran another constant on line thru a switch so I could over-ride the thermostat from the driver's seat. That line runs to the trigger contact on the relay as does the line from the thermocouple. The thermocouple mounts against the radiator via a supplied clip.
I didn't buy the Derale kit linked above. I bought a separate 12v relay and just wired an adjustable thermostat in with it. I didn't want the EFK draw going through the thermostat.
