Right now, I have to be very careful with the amount of pedal I use around town to keep the turbo from coming on too hard. Car has only a giac X chip, & cat back exhaust mods.
On the highway, it works very well, but, I'd like to fiddle around with a different low end response.
Not actually changing the way the engine behaves, only how much pedal it "thinks" has been applied. In other words move the "sudden" accelerate behavior further down the pedal's travel or if possible make it more linear.
Didn't see anything in Lemiwinks that appeared to do that.

My custom GIAC chip would hit 100% throttle at 25% pedal, but that was for drag racing.

Another idea would be too use a pressure regulator to control boost instead of the factory n75. The regulator allows for lots of wastegate creep which might actually be a way of smoothing out the peaky k03.

Once the turbo hits so much boost it will start to drop like a rock, so there really is no such thing as boost creep with a small turbo. Just have to understand that any turbo will have a power band and with the K03 it is all in the low-midrange.

the wastegate is almost bigger then that turbo i doubt its going to creep hehe.

faster than the N75. The regulator lets air pass to the wastegate immediately(this is not a normal boost controller just a regulator used with air tools). So it's a very soft boost onset. Not what you want on a bigger turbo because it kills spoolup by maybe 500 rpm. On a k03 it might spool 300 rpm later which will soften the spike.

No reason to use parts made for an air compressor. These will make the turbo spool up normal but still keep the turbo from having a spike of boost at first. BTW this can also be done with correct tuning by the chip tuner while still using the N75 valve, they just need to know what they are doing with the code.

I have giac x chip and sweet sounding cat back exhaust system.
The questions...
Will I loose max power compared to what Ihave now? Gain at higher RPMs? heh heh heh...
Can I use my existing giac x chip with it?
Are other mods required?

I have the MT Enabled chip for 2001 CH box 1.8Ts. The boost adjustment in Mobile Tuner also affects throttle response. If I turn it down a little, it slows throttle response at lower RPMs, but I still make the same peak boost.
