car? is it the 710n? i know on my 2.7t the stock valves were complete crap and the rubber diaphragms would tear all over the place. is the DV a common problem on the 1.8t's? thanks!

Gambba 12-23-2004, 08:11 AM I would tell him to stick with the stock until it starts to give problems and then fit a 710N from the stealer as you can purchase several of this for the same price as an aftermarket DV. Diaphragm DV's are quicker to react than piston DV's, so if it's performance then definately take the 710N or something like the Forge fast road diaphragm DV, but not a piston type , unless it's realiabilty you want. Invest his money in a new N75 valve either H or J for higher boost....but on some cars it may cause limp mode.
