Custom usually means they take a larger wheel and install it in a K04-15 housing that has been machined out.

i was told by dahlback that borg warner custom makes the turbos for dahlback. i was thinking that if borg makes the turbos for dahalback and does not do anything themself i can get it from one of my guys for a much cheaper price. if borg has one sitting around at the factory this guy can grab one for me.

then it might be made on a per order so they might not have it sitting on the shelf. The thing is that a shop is not going to tell you if it is not made by 3k since it is a 3k turbo. I also thought Neuspeed claimed their Sk04 also to be built by 3K but turns out it was not.


BTW is this custom turbo made for the B5 1.8t or is it the one they have on their site for the 225 TT?

claims 260 hp. this turbo is for the b6 1.8t(also b5) and is putting down around 300hp if not a little more

at $2250.00 just for the turbo alone.

If they claim 300 hp then I would say it sounds like the internals of the 225tt turbo or a K16 wheel in a housing that will bolt up on the B5/B6.
