So actually I am assuming it was the oil pump that seazed causing the gear which is driven by the intermediate shaft to stop which sheared the key of the intermediate shaft toothed gear and eventually broke the belt, causing all the mayhem i just got fixed when my t-belt tensioner failed a few short months ago. So my question is why the hell did the oil pump seaze that gear???? what would have cause this? and how hard is it to drop the oil pan on a 99.0 1.8 q-tip????? Am i screwed? i need some help here.

ticking lifters? from my talks with my old tech it seems the pickup lines get clogged by 'sludge' over time and the oil pumps work their way towards siezing... my oil drain bolt got rounded off so i wanna drop the pan anyway to get a better handle on breaking that b*tch loose. i also wanna see how much crap is sitting in there... should be fun spilling oil all over myself trying to drop the pan full of oil...
