Probably asked a million times before. Just wondering what the concensus was on good clutch options for the big turbo kits on the 1.8T. Not many reviews on Audiworld and most of the ones that are, are negative reviews.

I've had it for over 30k now, I've been to the drags with it about 4 or 5 times as well as a few track events. I'm using it with the OEM flywheel though. It is an occasional daily driver so I didn't want to deal with the LWFW.

I guess I am pretty ignorant about clutches. Can you exaplin why the LWFW is not a good option for the daily driver?

Here's mine..
If you don't have a daily commute through stop and go traffic, having a lwfw with a stouter clutch and a biiger turbo, isn't a hassle at all. It took me all of a half dozen start ups to learn how to modulate th ethrottle to get smooth take offs. It really wasn't all that different than learning the stage 3 clutch take up. Having the lwfw certainly lets the engine spool up quickly. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I would also do it again in a heartbeat - and I would also do the UDP - its also awesome :-)

I can't use on down here because I have to run the A/c 10-11 months out of the year, so i need all the charge I can get frommy alternator at idle.
Autospeed makes a full sized lightweight pulley that I'm interested in. It'll save weight, but keep the accesories spinning at stock rpm.

The clutch kit just isn't called the WOA clutch any more and really doesn't have a name at this point.
He is running a stage 4 with either the street or race disk. I have one with a slightly heavier pressure plate (4800psi). I have kits that go from stage 2+ all the way to stage 4 and they can be ordered with and without a lwfw. I also offer kits for those that already have a lwfw but need a new clutch but dont want to replace the lwfw they already have. New is the B6 clutch kits for both the 5 speed and 6 speed gear box.

i'm looking for something like the southbend DXD Stage 3 GB going on here. do you have a better offering? i'm not necessarily interested in stage 3 but either st3 or st2 should suffice. i'm planning to stick with the OEM flywheel unless you have a good deal.
btw, this is for 00 1.8tq with only chip and exhaust upgrades (w/ possible big turbo in the future).

since i need a clutch kit ASAP i was interested in the Southbend GB DXD Clutch kit St3 for the stock flywheel; however, your st2+ seems interesting as well. what is the torque rating for it, and how is the feel of the clutch w/ stock flywheel? also how much are you selling it for?
you can email me the answers at palen2k at hotmail dot com.
