I would like to eliminate any change for leaks, so why not Move the MAF to the TB?
The air would be metered based on actual Intake Temp.
Would it make a working Difference?
Or would the Compressed Air Destroy our all ready Fagile MAF's?
And those who want to Vent could. The Idea is to eliminate possible leaks.

where the MAF is currently located (not under pressure)?

You are that intent on removing leaks then why not convert to a true stand-alone so you can lose the MAF altogether by running speed-density.

yes our mafs will work as a blow through!
1. you need a new pipe made to postion the maf at least 5" from and bends on either side
2. you have to modify the pcv system so there is no oil returned to the intake (using a simple catch can)
3. boost away knowing that if blow off a ic pipe you can still drive around just a whole lot slower
there are some advantages not mentioned here...
exact air metering
better throttle response

but it can create more problems than it solves if you don't do it right.
It measures MASS air, it would still measure the same air mass, regardless of location, however, it will experience hotter air and possible oil contamination.
The main reason I did it was because it was the easiest spot for the MAF to go (I have a totally custom setup)
Keep in mind that even with the MAF in front of the TB, a leak is still a leak, and will cause problems either way, but if the leak is after the MAF, you'll be more likely to notice it.
