i think angry alex does but last i knew he was doing some sort of custom tuning or running a K04 program or somthing.does anyone have ATPs beta programing? for 2400$ it seems like a pretty badass setup. and in the A4 forum somone ran 11s with the GT3071 setup on their beta programing? with stock internals?! think it would be a bad idea if i got the manifold, turbo, etc and had my chip re-burnt (its free w/ dahlback) to use with their K26 program? as long as i got the same injectors FPR etc.?

most other do not. dont expect to buy that kit and get anywhere close to replicating those numbers without shelling out a ****load of money for some other means of tuning.

You will need a wideband or dyno time or BOTH.
Also get an adjustable FPR along with the injectors and whatever maf housing the program you get calls for!

Don't have a dyno yet. Car keeps you pinned in the seat till shift time. Hopefully this winter I can post the dyno and share my setup on this forum.

The 034 EFI stuff looks like it would be a good match for the ATP GT28RS kit, and it isn't too expensive. The EFI entry in the 1.8T Challenge used their Stage Ic unit, which sells for $1100, along with a GT28R turbo, cams, pistons, rings, rods, the whole nine yards. Not cheap either, I realize, but could be used with different configurations and even removed for use on another vehicle later.
Anybody with more tuning experience (which is to say, any tuning experience at all) care to comment?

http://www.034efi.com/featured_users.html

Well it is a Jetta, whose engine is transverse rather than longitudinal, but as far as overall feasibility of tuning software, if it's good for the 1.8T in a Jetta I don't see why it wouldnt work in an A4 or Passat.

I've got them pretty worked out but I'm def going external soon. What wastegate prob did you have?

The cool thing is the IIc works with all the stock sensors including cam sensor and the factory coil packs!
For DBW you could leave in the stock ecu to control the dash, throttle,ABS, etc. Use the IIC for everything else :)

indicated he would send the maps from the jetta with the stand alone. That would be a nice base to start with.

out $$$$ for the stand alone unit plus over $$$$ (sorry I don't remember how much over, 1k) And it will be unknown if you will have use of the stock gauges. On top of all that the Jetta used a DBW, so there is NO gaurentee that it would work. They are in Fremont Ca BTW.

They will sale you the stand alone and give you the maps they used on the jetta. Your in the ballpark as soon as you start it up. Get a wideband tune it on the street. Go to the dyno and fine tune it there!

I have an 02 which is NDBW
Even if you had a pre 02 with DBW would 1 & 2 be okay with you?

1. OK but Inigo was asking about the 034 and he may want to spend the money for stand alone
2. You dont loose your gauges, you leave in the M7 ecu to control the gauges, abs, throttle and you use the standalone to run the motor
3. Stand Alone may not be for everyone but this is the 1.8t development forum right?

stuck at 1.2 bar right now so i am running rich (02 sensor voltages in the mid 9's) which is robbing me of some hp as it is.

I've been working with ATP for a while now. They are right down the street from each other.
