I read about it in Csaba Csere's Car and Driver column saying that VW/Audi is exdending warrenties on the 1.8T engine due to the infamous oil sludge problem. It seems you have to provide some kind of proof that the oil was changed in accordance to the maintance schudule to make a claim.

YOu should of recieved a claim form. Just make copies of your maintence book where they stamp it. That's proof that they changed the oil.
