I have new Audi OEM rotors for my S4. I bought them a year ago to install on my S4, but upgraded to Alcons. I'd like to sell the the rotors but now they have rust on them. See pics. The rust is on the braking surface of the rotors. The rust is more of a discoloration than "flaky".
I realize that brake rotors always have SOME rust on them.
I want to sell the rotors, but I don't want to get a bad rep by selling rotors that will always squeal or something like that.
Questions:
1. Are my "rusty rotors" cleanable ? IE should I use WD-40 or some other solvent to clean the rust ? Or is it better to just leave them as is ?
2. Are my "rusty rotors" usable as is ? IE they will be a problem, and now that they have rust on the rotor surface, I should just dispose of them as scrap metal.
