I was reading a tech article which stated that a VAG-COM is needed to bleed brakes with ESP.....is this true? What is the reason?

... to bleed air from the nooks and crannys of the ABS module. This normally wouldn't need to be done, though, if you have no reason to believe there's air in the ABS module itself.

I am changing out the flex lines to the flex lines to the calipers so I dont think air would get into the ABS module. Cool thanks for the info!!
