i need help on replacing my front rotors, i can replace the pads but i dont know how to do the rotors. any special tricks or tools i should know about or any help would be appreciated.

You'll probably need a big hammer to break it free. Clean the hub thoroughly with a wire brush to insure the new rotor seats square, and put some wheel bearing grease on the bare hub to avoid needing the hammer in the future.

I recently purchased new front and rear pads with rotors.
How much would a shop or someone typically install for someting like that?

and if you don't have the tool to compress the piston back into the caliper you can always just use a big C-clamp<ul><li><a href="http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel139.shtml">http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel139.shtml</a</li></ul>

I do realize that I dont want to over heat the hub and bearing.. btu one just wants to heat the rotor s it'll slip off. Since the alternative it swing away with a sledge hammer, this seems MUCH gentler... no?
