I'm tired of this damn pad sensor. Late last year I had the front brakes and rotor replaced after the sensor warning indicator lit up in the dash, (not by an Audi service center). Everything was replaced correctly though, but the warning light in the dash never went out; is there a reset sequence I need to do to make it go out? After taking off the wheels over and over again, cleaning the male/female plugs on the brake sensor wiring, making sure they were tightly connected, I got sick of having the warning light on. I ended up taking the damn plug connectors off of the wires and directly wiring the wires appropriatley together, but still the warning light in the dash is on. Can I just wire the 2 wires coming from the inside of the car together to make a closed circuit on each side and be done with the sensor issue? I never had a vehicle in the past that had a sensor and wires coming out of the brake pads before to alert me of worn pads. I take care of my vehicles and pay close attention to all aspects of them. I don't need the damn sensors anyway!! What can I do to rectify the situation without spending hundreds of dollars?
