I noticed that my rotors are developing a thin rim around the outside edge where I'm guessing the pad isn't contacting them. Normal or Trouble?
Thanks.
Thanks.

DeutschDriver 10-05-2005, 03:59 PM i wouldn't trust the dealer... i'd think they'd be ready to sell me new parts. mafjodfl 10-08-2005, 02:19 PM I just replaced the brake pads on my 2000 A4 (original owner) with 55k mileage. I have also notice the brake pads have railroaded onto the rotor. This is the first time I have change brake pads (my indicator went on) and I had plenty of pad left. I usually take the car to a mechanic who also has an 2000 A4. Now I am a bit suspicous, although I don't know why he would do this as a pair of EBC rotors cost only $230. Has anyone else had their rotors wear out this fast? |
