rotors and pads. The rotors and pads have about 2k miles on them.

Can I use them on the rear? Should I sell them?

...among other reasons, they're way too heavy to think about using on the rear.

the A6 4.2 and S6 have a differnet HP2 front setup then the B5 S4 / A6 2.7t / Allroad 2.7t.

The rotor offset is greater. I don't know if they compensate for this in the caliper casting, or just in the floating aspect.

But the discs are most definitely NOT the same.

...aside from another S6 and (i suspect) a 4.2

...you'd have to compare part numbers to be sure, but from my catalog:

S4 Caliper Left = 4B0 615 107 A
Allroad 2.7t Caliper Left = 4B0 615 107 A
A6/S6 Caliper Left = 4B0 615 107 B
